SERAS at TRA2026 in Budapest
EventSERAS was represented at the Transport Research Arena conference 2026 in Budapest, one of Europe’s flagship transport research and innovation events initiated by the European Commission and key stakeholders.
During the conference, the project team presented a poster introducing SERAS, titled “On implementing a rail sectoral skills strategy towards a Single European Railway Area of Skills”, and presented the link between the results of the STAFFER Blueprint project and the new SERAS initiative. It highlighted the need to address skills gaps, improve the attractiveness of the railway sector, support future-oriented education and training, and strengthen mobility and cooperation across Europe.
The event was an important opportunity to increase the visibility of SERAS, exchange ideas with researchers and professionals across the transport sector and present the project’s contribution towards building a strong and integrated European railway skills sector.
