The University of Genoa (UNIGE) is one of the most ancient universities in Europe. Its main site is in Genova, in the North-West of Italy. UNIGE in figures includes: three-level courses to 31.400 students of which 1.870 foreign ones, 1.280 teachers, 5.400 enrolled students and 5.900 graduates per year, 1.580 postgraduate degrees awarded, 600 Erasmus outgoing scholarships, 350 Erasmus incoming students. 

 UNIGE has a long record of international cooperation projects in the frame of programmes promoted by the European Commission, particularly Erasmus+ KA2, Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe. 

The SERAS Coordination team belongs to the Department of Mechanical, Energy, Management and Transportation Engineering (DIME), with specific reference to the MSc in Safe Transport and Logistics Engineering. 

The Project Coordinator is Angela Di Febbraro, Full Professor of Transportation Engineering. The other members of the coordination team are: Alice Consilvio, Associate Professor of Transportation Engineering, Nicola Sacco, Full Professor of Transportation Engineering, and Abontee Barua, PhD Student. The team has already coordinated successfully the STAFFER Rail Skills Alliance Blueprint Project from 2020 to 2024.
